1. Arrival in Accra & Welcome Dinner

   Arrive in Accra at Kotoka International Airport, where you will be met and welcomed by your host team and then transferred to your hotel! Rest & Prepare for your first night in Ghana with an exciting welcome dinner, an engaging cultural performance and a first taste of Accra’s infamous buzzing nightlife!

2. Accra City History, Interactive Drumming Class & Afrofuture Day 1

   Get ready to explore Accra with a knowledgeable guide and learn about the significance of Ghana's Independence at the iconic Black Star Gate and other historic sites. Wrap up the day with a lively interactive drumming class experience and shopping at the Arts & Crafts Centre, before savouring a diverse array of Ghanaian cuisine for lunch! For an electrifying evening, join us at the Afrofuture Festival Day 1 - wander through captivating art installations and enjoy live performances from top African artists!

3. Ghanaian Cultural Immersion & Afrofuture Day 2

   Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of traditional Ghanaian dancing and learn snippets of local languages for a truly authentic experience. Embark on a batik making journey infused with Ghanaian traditional symbols and enlightening discussions on the significance of Adinkra symbols, guided by an expert in the field. Indulge your taste buds and culinary skills with a Ghanaian food cooking session, followed by an intimate lunch hosted by a warm Ghanaian family to complete this enriching cultural immersion. Later on, we head out for Day 2 of Afrofuture Festival for more exciting cultural activations and where the closing headliner artist dazzles us with exciting sounds and promises a fun night!

4. Cape Coast | Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park

   Today kicks off with a drive to the beautiful central region of Ghana, where we start our adventure at the Kakum National Park, renowned for its dense rainforest and iconic Canopy Walkway! After experiencing the natural beauty of Kakum, we'll delve into the important history of Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its colonial past and role in the transatlantic slave trade. After our guided tour of the castle, we'll head to a nearby resort for a tasty buffet lunch spread by the beach and an interactive dance show, before our drive back to Accra.

5. New Year's Eve Dinner & Polo Beach Club Party

   Enjoy a free day to rest, explore independently, reflect on the year or lounge by the pool. As the day transitions into evening, get set for a night to remember! We delve into the excitement of New Year's Eve with a lovely dinner set at a lavish rooftop bar complete with DJ and vibes, and finally, we welcome the New Year in style at the ultimate annual Polo Beach Club Party, where you can dance the night away to top music, surrounded by the beauty of the beach and awesome fireworks. It's a day of celebration!

6. Beach Day

   Tag 6

   Enjoy a slow morning after the nights festivities, and after having breakfast, pack and prepare to head out to the golden coastline! It's going to be a day of sun, sea, music, food, vibes, chill and fun at our Beach Day Party! We drive to a lovely beach resort where you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming at the beach or pool, water activities, lounging with food and music and optional horse riding! Optional night out!

7. Departure Day OR Onward Journey to Abidjan

   As our time in Ghana draws to a close, make the most of your final day by picking up any last-minute souvenirs and saying goodbye to the vibrant city of Accra. Our team will be on standby to support with any needs, as you check out and prepare for your departure flight. We look forward to welcoming you back to the continent in the future! For those continuing on for the next adventure in Abidjan with us, prepare for the exciting experiences awaiting you in Ivory Coast. After assisting your check out, we transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

8. Arrival In Abidjan, Welcome Dinner & Night Out

   Upon your arrival in Abidjan, you will be met and welcomed at the airport by your ground host team and transferred to your hotel! Check in to your room, and after settling in, prepare to begin your evening with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, where you can indulge in the exquisite flavours of Ivorian cuisine. As the night progresses, step out to experience the city’s vibrant nightlife ad we head to one of Abidjan’s renowned clubs, to soak in the lively atmosphere!

9. Grand Bassam

   Tag 9

   Experience the charm of Grand-Bassam with an enriching day that combines history, culture, and creativity. Explore elegant colonial buildings and delve into local traditions at the Costume Museum. Marvel at the historic lighthouse with its stunning views, and engage in artisan shopping where you’ll find unique crafts and jewellery. Cap off your day with a hands-on beading and jewellery workshop, creating your own keepsake while supporting local artisans and enjoy some leisurely time at the beach, soaking in the coastal beauty.

10. Domaine Bini Experience

    Discover Domaine Bini with a warm welcome from the local guides here, and enjoy a nature and educational walking tour of the local vegetation, including cocoa and other plants. Experience Ivorian culture through a lively folklore performance and traditional practices with interactive experiences and delight in a traditional lunch buffet with dishes like attiéké, local fish, meats, and vegetables. We conclude our visit with a refreshing clay bath experience before heading back to our hotel.

11. Assinie Mafia Beach Day

    This day is all about relaxation and chill! Unwind on the pretty shores of Assinie Mafia Beach with a day of fun and laid back vibes, and a range of water activities at your leisure to choose from including an optional boat cruise. From lounging on the sand to splashing in the refreshing sea and enjoying a delicious lunch buffet spread, relish in the beauty of this gorgoeouf beach resort for the day!

12. Departure & Farewell

    All too soon, we've come to the last day of our Ivory Coast travels and West Africa Trek.
