Arrival in Johannesburg, Transfer to Hotel & Free evening
Jour 1
Touch down in the vibrant city of Johannesburg at O.R.Tambo airport and hop on a scheduled shuttle transfer to the hotel. Check-in is assisted on arrival, making the process smooth and easy. Once you’re settled in, enjoy a free evening to relax, explore the local area, or simply unwind after your journey.
Lesedi Cultural Village & Lion & Safari Park Experience
Jour 2
An early start takes you to Lesedi Cultural Village for a rich, three-hour Ndebele cultural experience. Immerse yourself in local traditions, enjoy a flavorful lunch, and witness the vibrant Ingoma dance celebration. After lunch, transfer to the Lion & Safari Park for an exciting encounter with some of South Africa’s most iconic wildlife. Keep your camera ready as you spot lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and antelope in a natural setting. You’ll have time to explore the park and even hand-feed some of the animals under supervision. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, or opt into an optional night out at Konka; one of Johannesburg’s trendiest nightlife spots known for its lively atmosphere and crowd.
Jo'burg & Soweto | History, Culture, Community & Alumni Networking
Jour 3
Today, we dive into the rich and profound history of Johannesburg with a city tour that includes striking street art and a visit to the historically significant Liliesleaf. After a glimpse of the legendary FNB Stadium, we head into Soweto guided by locals from the townships, stopping at iconic landmarks like the Hector Pieterson Museum and Nelson Mandela's Home. We will take a walk down Vilakazi Street, with its buzzing street performers and crafts market, where we will enjoy a tasty traditional lunch before heading to learn more at the Kliptown informal settlement. After the city tour, you will have some time to relax before attending an evening networking event where you will engage in lively conversations and share your experiences with other attendees.
Depart Jo'burg, Flight to CapeTown, Hotel Check-In & Free Evening
Jour 4
Start the day with a late morning direct flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town, and transfer to our 4 star hotel. Enjoy a day at your leisure to explore Camps Bay and the V&A Waterfront, where you can take in the sunset and enjoy delicious food at your own pace.
Cape Town City, V&A Waterfront & Table Mountain Experience
Jour 5
Start the day off in the heart of Cape Town with a guided city tour that takes you to the famous colorful neighborhood of Bo Kaap and shares historical highlights of the city, before exploring the Kloof street V&A Waterfront for lunch! In the afternoon, we board a cable car to ascend the grand Table Mountain via fast-track access and enjoy truly breathtaking scenery of the city, including views of Lions Head and Camps Bay! Weather permitting, we can stay to experience the glorious sunset with drinks, before heading back to ground level.
Franschhoek Winelands Day
Jour 6
Today, we're off for an opulent and sophisticated day of wine-tasting, cheese boards, chocolate pairing and learning about various grapes and ageing processes! Enjoy a sensory journey that highlights the unique flavors of exquisite wines and culinary delights in South Africa's premier wine region!
Free Day, Optional Activities & Farewell Seaside Dinner
Jour 7
The day starts with free time; you can relax or choose from optional activities like Quad biking on the Atlantic dunes, Robben Island Tour or the Cape Peninsula & Boulders beach experience. To close off an unforgettable trip, we head to the scenic Camps Bays seaside for a curated sunset dinner and a celebratory toast from our WASA hosts. Optional | Quad Biking: Prepare for an adrenaline pumping quad biking adventure on the sand dunes. Feel the rush as you navigate the shifting sands, conquer challenging terrain, and enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape. Return back to the hotel in time for dinner. Optional | Robben Island: Head to the ever popular V&A waterfront where you can take a ferry to the famous Robben Island: The incarceration place of Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid activists. Return back to the hotel in time for dinner. Optional | Cape Peninsula & Boulders Beach: Enjoy a full-day Cape Peninsula tour with scenic stops in Simon’s Town, Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and the iconic Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. Take in dramatic coastal views and enjoy a relaxing lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant
