1. Arrival in Accra, Welcome Dinner, Drinks & Cultural Performances

   Touch down in sunny Accra, where you will be met on arrival by our team member who will be your host as you explore Ghana over the next 8 days. You’ll be warmly greeted and assisted with your hotel transfer and check-in, with some free time to settle in and explore your surroundings. In the late afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to get their hair braided in preparation for the evening. Your host will reconnect with you at dinner time, where we officially kick off your journey with a curated welcome dinner and drinks at the hottest spot afterwards. This festive evening will feature a lively cultural performance, complete with traditional drumming and music that bring Ghana’s vibrant heritage to life; setting the tone for the unforgettable experience ahead.

2. Accra City History & Group Night Out

   We will kick off the day with a late-morning start and head out to explore Accra with a knowledgeable local guide who knows the city inside and out. The tour includes a drive through some of Accra’s most iconic spots; from the historic fishing community of Jamestown to the powerful Kwame Nkrumah Memorial and the symbolic Black Star Square. You will get a real feel for the city’s rich history, culture, and energy. Wrap up this experience with a lively drumming class experience with some leisurely shopping at the Arts Centre, where you can support local artisans and find one-of-a-kind artefacts. To cap off this unforgettable introduction to Ghanaian culture, we will explore the vibrant flavors of West African cuisine at a local-favourite lunch spot. We continue our Ghanaian adventure with a night out on the town. Bust out the freakum dresses, sky high heels & your best moves.

3. Ghanaian Cultural Immersion Experience & Aphro-curated Dinner

   Dive into an enriching batik making experience and learn more about the Ghanaian traditional Adinkra symbols with a knowledgeable specialist. Explore traditional Ghanaian dancing & learn unique words and phrases in the local languages and try your hands at batik making. Enjoy a traditional cooking session with local cooking methods such as grinding and pounding, and end with an intimate lunch hosted by a Ghanaian family. To wrap up the day, the group heads to TreeHouse for a specially curated dinner; expect good food, lively vibes, and a tasting of Aphro, a locally distilled spirit. The experience becomes even more special as the Aphro team shares the inspiration behind the brand as the bartender rolls out specially crafted cocktails.

4. Yoga & Shea Butter Museum with Making Experience

   We start the day slow with a morning Stretch & Yoga session. It’s a peaceful way to pause and reset before a full day of exploring. From there, we head to Hamamat African Village, where you will take part in a hands-on shea butter-making experience. This isn't just about skincare, it's a look into the roots of a tradition that's been passed down for generations. You will hear the stories, meet the women behind the craft, and get a real sense of the culture. Afterwards, we stop for lunch at Azmera-- always buzzing and known for its flavorful Ghanaian dishes. After lunch, you have the option of a free afternoon or booking a chocolate-making / tasting experience at one of Ghana's foremost boutique chocolatiers as an add-on activity.

5. Cape Coast Day: Road to Heritage

   Today we drive to the Central Region for a visit to Elmina in remembrance of the transatlantic slave trade. Starting off at the Elmina Castle, our guide will walk us through the journey of captured slaves, sharing the history of their imprisonment and final departure from the continent via the Door of No Return. Seated by the calming waters of the Atlantic Ocean, enjoy lunch with a celebration of African heritage with a reminder that our unbreakable joy & spirit lives on in our cultures & customs. Following lunch, we take part in a waist beads ceremony; an intimate wellness tradition celebrating womanhood, identity, and beauty. As the day winds down, we will begin the return journey to Accra.

6. Waterfalls Massage Experience & Safari Valley Visit

   Dia 6

   We will start your day with a drive from Accra to Aburi. On the way, we will make a quick stop to enjoy some fresh palm wine; a sweet, local drink that’s popular in the area. Once we arrive in Aburi, we will head to the Asenema Waterfalls for a relaxing waterfall massage experience. Imagine cool, fresh water gently flowing while you experience a relaxing massage to the muted thunder of the waterfall. After our waterfall idyll, we will continue to the Safari Valley Eco Resort for a chill lunch set in a lush, serene valley. Later in the day, we will begin our return journey to Accra.

7. Beachside Brunch, Optional Shopping or Free Day

   We start the day with a late morning transfer to our beachside-brunch. Expect strong espresso martinis, good music, and a laid-back vibe; the perfect way to ease into the day. Once brunch wraps up, it’s time to hit the city for some optional shopping. Below is a sample mix of local favorites and standout concept stores: • Elle Lokko for curated fashion and accessories • Oxford Street for a bit of the buzz and local street finds • The Arts Center for crafts, textiles, and souvenirs • Christie Brown for high-end Ghanaian fashion • The Lotte for high-end African brands • R&R Luxury for natural skincare and wellness goodies • Viva Boutique for elegant pieces and lifestyle finds After shopping, we head back to the hotel to rest and freshen up for an optional night out on the town - toasting to an amazing time in Ghana & the life-long memories created together!!!

8. Farewell & Departure

   On your final day, take care of any last-minute errands before checking out. You will be dropped off at the airport in time to catch your flight, bidding your host farewell and we hope to see you on the continent again soon!
